People are the most important part of any campaign.
Heidi Baker, Campaign Manager
A Word from Heidi:
I’m honored to serve as the campaign manager for April Line's run for city council—not just because I believe in her vision, but because I know firsthand the kind of person she is. April has been a dear friend of mine for years, and I’ve seen her dedication, integrity, and passion for our community in everything she does. When she decided to run, I knew I had to be part of this journey with her.
I’ve always believed that real change starts with real people—those who listen, care, and take action. That’s exactly who April Line is. She’s not running for personal gain; she’s running because she genuinely wants to make life better for the people of Williamsport. I couldn’t be prouder to stand beside her and help bring her vision to life.
Outside of this campaign, I’m passionate about empowering women, through fitness and many other avenues. But right now, my focus is on making sure the voters of Williamsport see what I see—a leader who will fight for them.
I’d love to hear from you! This campaign is about all of us, and I’m here to help make sure your voice is heard. Let’s build something great together

April Line, Candidate
A Word from April
Hi Everyone. Thanks for coming to the April Listens campaign website.
Listening is my superpower. And I happen to be living in a timeline where listening is a superpower that we need people to leverage more than we have ever needed it.
If you're here, you've already seen my reasons for running. So I wanna take a little time to tell you things about me that *aren't* about my campaign.
I'm a really squishy, full-of-love kinda person. I love having difficult conversations around issues that matter to me. I am the parent of an adult, Purge, who is my favorite person on Earth. I love to dance (at Zumba, and in my kitchen, and occasionally in public), I'm a foodie (I'd fight about Sawhorse being the best food in Williamsport, hands down), and I love to cook and host small parties at my home.
I am self-employed as a business consultant, and I do all kinds of things on the side like proofreading romance novels, hosting trivia, co-leading a Mutual Aid group, and working as a volunteer paralegal for a local nonprofit. I love business and business math, I love to dig into hard problems, and I believe passionately in leading with grace, humility, love, and the Golden Rule.
And, ICYMI, here are the reasons I'm running:
I want to make sure city government addresses the needs of our citizens fairly, meaning, considers all of our many voices instead of a privileged few.
I believe we need creative leadership now more than we ever have.
And I believe Williamsport can (and should!) do a much better job communicating with its citizens, and as a communications professional, I want to help with that.
There's unnecessary tension between local business owners and leadership and the city government. I'd like to use my powers of listening to support healing that relationship.
I'm not kidding when I say I want to hear from you. Please follow the campaign on social (links above!) and make use of our email address: talk @ AprilListens.org
